When i banning users I must too kick them. Is it possible when i execute some ban command, kick be execute automatically in newest versions of DB Hub? (:
The major question would be: Is there any reasonable usage to ban without kicking?
Imho this depends on the hub'S policies. Imagine, somebody is misbehaving, an op could set a ban, without a kick, the user still might be able to contact an admin (for revising the issue), once kicked this seems impossible ...
On the other hand, in my opinion the whole kick/ban issues don't make sense nowa days. ipban-> reconnect ->bypass, nickban -> change nick -> bypass ....
Things like kick/ban as in IRC were introduced, when there were no dialin providers and proper idents were enforced, but that's a diferent story anyway ...
If the modification makes sense, centurion should decide on this and might supply a patch, he knows all that command handling stuff way better :-).
If you ban somenone's IP use !banip, if you ban somenone's IP nick user !bannick, these two, in opposite to !ban command, don't require user (with the same nickname) presence
use !ban instead of !bannick if you want to kick somebody after banning him..
No i can't using !ban nick, because this command banning nick and ip, but I must banning ONLY nick. In hub are require prefix nick, so I have got a lot of work with banning users. Additional I must execute kick command... That truth I banning and kicking several selected users from list by right-mouse-click menu with commands, but conveniently would be execute this commands simultaneously (banning and kick)... :)
I am not familiar with UserCommands but can't you just create a string containing two commands? Like
<you> !bannick %[user] reason|<you> !kick %[user] reason| ?
two actions for one user?
